Reflections

I am not perfect. Again Sunday came and went and I forgot to post. This week I will post a reflection on the difference between the invisible god and humanity. For one, God is invisible and we live inside of him. Secondly, God is everywhere at once in his great superconsciousness. God can count the sand on the shore his attention is so great. I can hardly count to one thousand without boredom creeping in...

Sunday morning God did not forget to make the sunrise. I forgot it was time to post. Third, humans are forgetful while God never forgets. God as the mind behind natural phenomena is coliding particles, forming planets and causing stars to go supernova while making a sunshower.

Sunday evening God made the sunset one more time. I still did not remember it was time to post my Sunday Sermon. I drank a few beers, watched football, then the news and went to bed. I did not remember to post.

I woke up late this morning. God had already made the sunrise. I drank two cups of coffee before I realized I had forgotten to post a sermon on Sunday. God is the closest to perfect I know of. He is consistent and reliable. His word is good a thousand generations later. A thousand generations from now who will even know I forgot to post yesterday?

I am mortal, forgetful, not much help if you need a few bucks, and like my liquor a little too much my gut seems to say. Some say God is everything there is. God is the rising and setting sun, the stars in the sky, the clouds and rain, well everything. Even the caterpillars that grow to be butterflies. I think God as organic life is a whole bunch of caterpillars that someday will be perfect butterflies...
