The Old Testament, The Bible

All the written above comes from the Bible and my contemplations on the Bible. I am not a stranger to my Bible. It is my favorite book. A loving God wrote it is evident to me because He intends it to be our instruction like a reader. It is full of historic educational tales, a poetically rendered ancient record of the origins of things, and prophecy, prayers, law, and order. 

Good books educate you by exposing you to real-life situations, and the Bible does that excellently. It is full of real people doing real things and sometimes not being so kind as to be Blessed. Life is not filled with one Blessed event after another, but flawed people do terrible things, and suffering sometimes ensues by "innocent" people even. Even rulers can be a nightmare.

You are given a head start to reading your Bible as God intended with the quotes from Proverbs. Read the Bible thinking, learning, growing intelligent, and not just believing everything you read or hear, especially in the name of God. If you have not done so, check out The Bible Project on YouTube. It is a beautiful introduction to The Greatest Story Ever Told.  

Get to know your Bible. Spend some time reading the book that is reported to have been inspired by God. Get an audio Bible app and listen to it read. Faith comes from hearing. As you grow familiar with the idea of God being and doing great wonders, you may find it far easier to have a living God in our life. Who knows, He may even prove He exists... 

The First Mistake...

The first mistake many make is not recognizing life flowing through everything. It is the state of the universe, the cosmos, and reality. Life, it is what is. It is in every square inch of reality the vibrant force animating and holding it all together.
The second mistake is not building a home for life which is our true family. Not providing a place to dwell together sharing space and time as a family. Making strangers of oneself (or kind) to the rest of life around you.
The third mistake was not enjoying ones appropriate gifts. Not enjoying oneself or one's life is a crime against nature and all its wonders. So many ways to enjoy, so many flavors, smells, feelings to enjoy, sights and sounds, it is a creation of beauty and great powers as shown in every storm.
The fourth mistake was letting anyone but nature make one's law. If it is not natural law why are you obeying it? If it is not the same power law that makes the sun to rise and set, and the winds blow and cause the ocean to have waves, why is it taken to be law? Natural law does not need enforcement, it is not capable of being violated!
The fifth mistake was thinking you need more law than nature provided. Either one grants right to all harmless acts one knows of or one is violating the greater liberty one knows is a self-evident truth or natural law. Like one plus one is two! Of course, someone violates your liberty you may throw a fit, you may revolt, you may do many things, but natural law exposes violations of liberty the result of not giving the right to indulge oneself at liberty. Responses are taken for granted something everyone can do.
The sixth mistake was defining the enforcement of law justice. When criminals make the laws it is far from justice what is served to those thereunder. Remember Nazi Germany. Jews were rounded up by law and extermination level massacred. There was no justice in that. Who makes your laws? Did you inherit them from the past? Do you know they at one time taught the world was flat and the sun and stars and planets revolved around it in the universities?
So why are herbs, mushrooms, and plant extracts outlawed? Why were certain sex acts and now certain sex partners outlawed even with consent? Why is nudity outlawed? Who made these laws but those wanting humanity breeding stock for labor just dulling its senses now and then, working and sleeping and learning nothing but how to be a more valuable worker?
Who makes my law but God! Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is Liberty. Go figure that out while I indulge myself as much as I care to risk being arrested for in innocent harmless activities...
