The Letter Ministers Death...

The letter ministers death is from the Bible, where it also adds the spirit ministers life. Why does it say the letter ministers death? I see two reasons. First, the letter of the Old Testament Law includes more than one death penalty. So the letter of the law ministers death, as in death penalties by law. The second is the text of the Torah, the Old Testament Bible contains death penalties in its laws. Sure this is repetitious, but it is worth repeating because the letter of the Bible ministers death is noteworthy. Not just the Jewish law has death penalties, but the Bible has death penalties too.
So the letter ministers death. Yet the spirit of the law is for mercy and life for two reasons too. The first reason is if there is a God who was in the beginning and is Mother Nature grown up to realize itself God in truth not just praise then we all have the same one in common as living ancestor to all our family trees. It is also true you don't mess with Mother Nature because Father god will get you! If we are all one family Mercy cries out shall I be minus two children every murder, the murdered and the executed for the crime? Second, if no one ever cripples, maims or kills anyone mind, body and soul (or snuffs someone out) then why would this loving ancestral God burn them forever in Hell till they die? So the Spirit of the law is for mercy to all harmless offenders no matter what the letter says to scare them straight who can be deterred by scare tactics.
So why are we giving death penalties still as Christian nations worshipping the savior who said to love even our enemies? I guess they did not get the memo in Israel that God tested them with a death penalty when He said "Thou shall not kill," and they failed. They walked contrary to God and treated Him like He contradicts Himself even in Law. They rationalize away to date this contradiction, yet I heard thou shall not kill, period. No exceptions or one is in line for the death penalty in the just verdict, not just law! One is due death for murder in an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, a blow for a blow fair penalty guidance! Justice would demand a "two for one sale" when someone murders.
Every other crime the court can satisfy in session with an in-kind reciprocal penalty.
So why do we have the death penalty is answered, we failed too. We gave God no justice but made Him out to be the merciless judge demanding a death penalty for adultery and other such nonsense. Is it a case of making God in our vengeful image? I could believe that before I believe God a sadistic hanging judge!
Better yet, you can ask why any harmless activities are illegal? What gives men the right to tell other men's children they cannot do things that hurt no one? Gambling? Nudity? Prostitution? Even Sex acts are illegal in some places in the world! Funny how these places have a hanging judge for a God! How many other harmless acts are criminalized? Even getting high is illegal still in areas where getting drunk is allowed! The modern state of prohibition is horrible!
Why would several presidents, law firms even the ACLU and several newspapers ignore me asking for the repeal of the prohibition of any harmless acts? Why indeed. I have been ignored, though. I have written again and again, and only law firms and the ACLU replied. Both were sorry they couldn't represent the class action suit I was looking for on behalf of those suffering in prison because of bad laws. Bad laws are something you don't hear about much. So, I'll repeat myself, bad laws. You hear about bad choices. You hear about bad drugs but do you hear about bad laws? What is it? Is there no such thing as a bad law? No, I don't think so. I think they do not want anyone to question the laws made because so many of them are nothing but bad! Inclusive of the death penalty in the Bible for lying! Bad laws. Who is to blame? We are for being dumb enough they got away with it too long. They won't stop. What are we going to do?
